Booking Laurette Willis
• For Churches and
Church Conferences: Can we combine a Seminar (such as Fitness for His
Witness) with a show (such as Great
Women of the Bible)?
A. Yes. Laurette is now bringing Keynote
Presentations, Seminars and one-woman Shows to
venues throughout the While Laurette can travel throughout the country (and now
internationally as well), experience has shown us that the best way to book
Laurette for performances a L-O-N-G distance from home is to schedule a tour
of several days’ worth of shows for her in area churches, club groups, schools
and/or libraries. Sharing expenses like this with other organizations
can also lower the cost for the sponsoring organization! Check her SCHEDULE to see
if she is available for the date you have in mind. Q. How far in advance should we reserve a date? A. We book anywhere from several weeks, months to
years in advance. Reserving a date does not obligate either party, unless of
course we have confirmed our booking with a contract. Check the Schedule
to see if the date you want is available.
Things have been known to change, so if it LOOKS like a date may NOT
be available – ASK ANYWAY! Events are
sometimes rescheduled, or we may be able to work something out when Laurette
is in an area near you (which may not be listed yet on the Schedule). It’s always a good idea to ask! PLEASE NOTE: If you are seeking funding through the Laurette
can sometimes accommodate a "last minute" booking, but it's always
good to reserve a date as soon as possible. Q. What kind of funding can we receive to help pay for a
booking? A. If you are an For those

Oklahoma Arts Council will match up to half the fee for eligible
organizations. You would pay Laurette in full on the date of the show, and
the OAC will send a reimbursement to you once your final paperwork has been
approved. The Heartland Arts Fund can cover up to 25% of the
performance fee for eligible organizations. Q. Is
the application process difficult?
A. No. Applications for funding are now processed
over the Internet. We will be available to help you through it and the great folks
at the Oklahoma Arts Council and Heartland Arts Fund are also very
friendly and helpful. For more

check out the Heartland Arts Fund (search under Willis) website for application information if you are

Q. How
much will it cost to book Laurette?
A. It depends.... For example, schools eligible to
receive matching funds from the Oklahoma
Arts Council, Heartland Arts Fund
or Indian Education funds would be
quoted a different figure from organizations ineligible for such funding
(such as a church, business conference or family gathering).
Multiple
school bookings or more than one show in a day can lower the performance
fee. The same would apply to churches booking more than one performance
– or working out several church bookings in the same area. Fees are
negotiable, so just ask and Laurette can help you put together a program
within your budget. For Churches
and Ministry-related conferences, retreats and events, Laurette many times
will offer Great Women of the
Bible, Susanna Wesley: LIVE!
or a Keynote/Seminar
on a Love Offering/Honorarium-plus-Travel Expenses basis. Q. For Churches and
Church Conferences: Can we combine a Keynote Speech, Seminar or PraiseMoves™ workshop with a show, such as Great
Women of the Bible? A. Yes! A winning combination for a Women’s
Conference, for example, would be a morning or afternoon Fitness for His Witness workshop, with a Keynote
address or performance of Great Women of the Bible

answer your questions! One-Woman Shows: Laurette’s original one-woman shows and workshops are available
for matching funds from the Oklahoma
Arts Council or the Heartland
